Abstract: |
In this paper, SnO2 and Ta doped SnO2 nano-particles were synthesized by chemical precipitation. SnCl2.2H2O and TaCl5 in deionized water were used as sources of Sn and Ta, respectively. The influence of the dopant concentration, pH and surfactant in the crystalline structure, morphology and size of nano-particles has been investigated by design of experiment. The obtained particles were characterized via field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). FESEM analysis indicated that the morphology of the particles was spherical. The minimum size of the particles was about 28 nm obtained for a sample with 5 at% of TaCl5 as precursor material in the presence of surfactant. EDS demonstrated that the particles were consist of Sn, O and Ta. |
