Abstract: |
The structural, microstructural and magnetic properties of Bi0.82-xLa0.2ErxFeO3 (BLEFOx x = 0.00, 0.05, 0.10 and 0.15) multiferroic nanopowders have been studied. The nanopowders have been synthesis using sol-gel method. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns of samples show that the La and Er substitutions for Bi transform crystal structure from a rhombohedral (R3c space group) to orthorhombic (Pbnm space group) for x > 0.1. Transmission electron microscope (TEM) micrograph confirm that the particle size of BLEFOx is about 40-50 nm. The temperature of magnetic ordering (TN) was determined using the differential thermal analysis (DTA). The result of DTA analysis shows that TN changes a little by La and Er substitutions. The magnetic hysteresis loops of BLEFOx samples are measured under maximum magnetic field up to 1.9 T at room temperature. Magnetization increases with Er substitutions up to sample with x = 0.1 and then decreases for x = 0.15. |
