Abstract: |
Mechanical alloying was used to produce nanostructured Ni-Ti-Ag alloy from elemental powder. The product was characterized using X-ray diffraction and field emission scanning electron microscopy. Results show that after 1h milling homogenous distribution of element was formed while after 3h milling titanium dissolve in nickel lattice and nanostructured NiTi(B2) phase was formed. Sintering of the milled powder at 1223 K leads to formation of intermetallic compound, disappearance of titanium and reduce in amount of nickel and grain growth. |
