Abstract: |
Semiconductor photocatalysis has proved to be an efficient method for decolorization and degradation of pollutants. In this work nanosized copper oxide (CuO) was prepared through ultrasonic-assisted preparation methods. We used ionic liquid as a promising green technology, and Cu(NO3)2.3H2O as the source of CuO. The catalytic activities of CuO-NPs were evaluated by monitoring degradation of methylene blue (MB) under visible light irradiation. The nanostructure were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(DRS) and UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy. |
